Troux Achieves Record Year With 40% Growth; SaaS Business Grows 300%

Record Growth Reflects Critical Business Need for Enterprise Portfolio Management and Troux's Unique Ability to Deliver on Business Value

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Feb 5, 2013) - Troux, the global leader in Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software, today announced its largest quarter and its largest year in company history, including the addition of several marquee brands to its global roster of FORTUNE 500 clients.

The strategic management capability provided by Troux's software continued to help its customers in North America, EMEA and Asia/Pacific make more informed and comprehensive decisions that reduce cost, decrease risk and improve agility. In particular, Troux saw significant growth in the EMEA markets with business nearly tripling in size. The company also continued to see significant increases in global license growth, with software orders more than doubling annually.

A recent survey conducted by Gartner1 found that 50 percent of enterprise architecture practitioners have a significant influence over their organization's enterprise IT budget spend ($1.1 trillion in enterprise IT spend). Gartner also predicts that, by 2020, the majority of Global 1000 organizations will support EA as a distinct discipline that is an integral part of business and IT strategic planning. Troux's approach helps decision-makers and practitioners gain a better understanding of how decisions affect all the moving parts that make up the connected enterprise, allowing IT to become a competitive advantage within organizations.

"We largely attribute our success in 2012 to global enterprises realizing the necessity of having a reliable and efficient solution for making business critical technology decisions and our team's ability to deliver the value we promised," said David Hood, CEO of Troux. "We're excited about the momentum we achieved in 2012 and will continue our maniacal focus on helping customers succeed with Troux."

Some of Troux's 2012 company highlights also include having three of the five winners of the prestigious 2012 InfoWorld/Forrester Enterprise Architecture Awards as customers; earning a position in the leaders' quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the third straight year; and the donation of $4 million in software to the Center for Enterprise Architecture (EA) at Penn State University's College of Information Sciences and Technology.
