True North Gems Commissions Greenland Ruby Processing Plant

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 11, 2007) - True North Gems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TGX) is pleased to announce that it has completed the installation and commissioning of its upgraded gravity processing plant located in the village of Fiskenaesset, on the southwest coast of Greenland, the logistical base for exploration operations on the Company's Fiskenaesset Ruby Project.

The new facility allows for much improved forward processing, including the recovery of larger gemstones, notably shorter process timelines and improved quality of primary concentrate for shipping from Greenland to Canada for final recovery and sorting.

Commissioning of the new plant was carried out successfully using 5 tonnes of process tailings from the 2006 Aappaluttoq bulk sample. To date, the 2007 plant operations have recovered 63.8 kg of concentrate and primary sorting of the ruby and pink sapphire concentrate will be completed shortly.

Since commissioning, True North has commenced processing of its outstanding 2006 Kigutilik 30 tonne bulk sample. Primary crushing, wet screening, and hand selection of +10mm coarse ruby followed by secondary roll crushing are complete. Gravity separation to produce concentrate is in progress.

True North is collecting bulk, mini-bulk and channel samples from the principal ruby and pink sapphire occurrences with all samples currently being delivered from the field sites to Fiskenaesset. Processing will be initiated immediately upon completion of the 2006 Kigutilik sample.

The new processing plant is comprised of a large capacity jaw for two stage primary crushing of nominal -30 cm (-12 inch) feed, jaw and roll for secondary and tertiary crushing, two double-deck washing and sizing screens, and two Denver duplex mineral jigs, which concentrate the ruby and pink sapphire by gravity separation.

The planning and execution of the ruby exploration and quality control programs at the Fiskenaesset Ruby Project are under the supervision of Greg Davison, True North Gems' VP Exploration. Mr. Davison is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
