TrueStar Announces Appointment of New Director

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 7, 2005) - TrueStar Petroleum Corporation (TSX VENTURE:TPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Randolph P. Eddy to the Board of Directors.

R.P. Eddy runs the Global Strategic Services division of one of the world's leading research firms which serves over 400 of the world's largest businesses. The Global Strategic Services division helps business profit from global-macro risk by harnessing knowledge from a unique network of thousands of world-class economists, foreign-area experts and industry specialists. Mr. Eddy is also the Executive Director and Founder of the Center for Policing Terrorism at the Manhattan Institute (CPT) which provides strategic and tactical counterterrorism insights to the leadership of the New York and Los Angeles Police Departments.

Mr. Eddy joined the private sector after eight years in public service. He served last as the Senior Policy Officer to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan where amongst other issues, he lead the Secretary-General's initiatives to mobilize an international response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic (including the creation of the $2 billion Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria) and advised the Secretary-General on counterterrorism and global issues. Mr. Eddy was also a Team Leader at Monitor Group, a preeminent global consulting firm. While at Monitor, amongst other projects, he led development of overall strategy for the Club of Madrid (a group of 45 former world presidents dedicated to promoting democracy), helped create AIDS vaccine rollout strategies for a global pharmaceutical firm, and guided a multi-industry coalition to re-vamp the US 9-1-1 phone system.

Mr. Eddy has previously served as: Director of Counterterrorism and Global Issues at the White House, National Security Council where he advised the President and National Security Advisor on strategies to fight global terror, and led a Presidential review of bio-terror and quarantine policies; Chief of Staff to the US Ambassador to the UN, Richard Holbrooke, where he led the USUN HIV/AIDS strategies at the United Nations; Senior Advisor for National Security to the Secretary of Energy, Bill Richardson, where he was principal architect in DOE's largest redesign of security and counterintelligence and was a principal in the Los Alamos China spy investigation; A US representative to international negotiations, including the creation of the International Criminal Court, peace negotiations in Angola and Rwanda and numerous UN negotiations. He served with the rank of US Minster Counselor to the UN and was a member of the US Senior Executive Service.

Mr. Eddy is a Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute and was honored at the 2002 World Economic Forum at Davos as one of 100 'Global Leaders for Tomorrow'. He is a founding board member of: ICTAC - the International Counterterrorism Academic Community; Globalegacy - a movement to usher in "Capitalism 2.0"; OneVoice - public negotiations for a MidEast peace; and NStar - a global network of creative people from all walks of life taking action, where he also serves as treasurer. Mr. Eddy is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, was awarded a Leland Fellowship, and was a Manfred-Worner Scholar. He has a BS in Neuroscience from Brown University.
