Trunity Holdings Welcomes American Author, Television Host and Stage Edutainment Performer Michael DiSpezio to Corporate Advisory Board

DiSpezio to Also Author Educational Content and Produce Multimedia Learning Objects on the Trunity eLearning Platform

PORTSMOUTH, NH--(Marketwired - Jul 15, 2014) - Trunity Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: TNTY) ("Trunity"), a pioneer of eLearning technology that transforms the educational experience, today announced the appointment of Michael DiSpezio to the Company's Corporate Advisory Board.

As recently announced, DiSpezio has created and will be hosting and authoring the digital content for Trunity's new transformational MindBenders™ Educational Learning Series, a multimedia education video series that delivers students with engaging and unique learning experiences. The Series is scheduled for release exclusively on the Trunity eLearning Platform this coming September.

Recognized as one of the most entertaining science educators in the world and the author or co-author of over six dozen textbooks and tradebooks collectively, DiSpezio's impressive body of work goes well beyond the borders of the standard classroom. From 2001 through 2009, he worked with the National Geographic JASON Project as a writer, online curriculum architect, content specialist and on-air talent for 60 live satellite broadcasts. Since 1989, the JASON Project has provided multimedia curricular learning experiences in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to millions of K-12 students, and corresponding professional development for educators in a wide variety of formal and informal education environments.

While earning a masters degree in biology from Boston University, DiSpezio spent his summers working as a research assistant to Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, the Nobel Laureate credited with discovering Vitamin C and the components and reactions of the citric acid cycle. DiSpezio's passion for teaching was ignited while working as a night school instructor at the Boston University School of Nursing, which inspired him to become a science teacher to elementary, middle and high school students for eight years. Wanting to play an even more meaningful role in educating students, he then turned his attention to writing, co-writing and consulting on the development of textbooks and trade books that were published by several leading industry icons, including Harcourt Publishers, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Pearson and Addison-Wesley.

Over the past 20 years, DiSpezio has also written and developed educational curriculum for a number of television broadcasters and publications, including PBS, for its series "Scientific American Frontiers," Discover Magazine, The Weather Channel, Discovery Channel and Children's Television Workshop. His work on "The Science of HIV" even earned him a seat at the Daytime Emmy Awards in 1998, when the poignant half-hour film was nominated.

Commenting on DiSpezio joining the Trunity family, the Company's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Nicole Fernandez-McGovern, stated, "We are delighted to welcome Michael to our Corporate Advisory Board and as an author on the Trunity eLearning Platform. He brings Trunity a wealth of knowledge and experience, and notable passion for creating learning experiences that are fun, engaging and motivating. Moreover, having someone of his caliber and many accomplishments authoring quality educational content and coursework for students and teachers, alike, should prove invaluable to Trunity on many strategic fronts."

DiSpezio added, "I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with Trunity to deliver what we agree is an elegant fusion of effective, fresh and relevant entertainment and education pedagogy. I am also looking forward to lending my ideas, industry perspective and expertise to assist the Company in creating novel, new content in conjunction with the MindBenders series; and to serving as an Advisory Board Member, helping to optimize Trunity's promising potential for changing how educational content is created, delivered and experienced."
