Trustlook Introduces the First Android Antivirus Application With Heartbleed Protection

This Solution Covered Device Check, Website Detection and Application Scanning

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - April 17, 2014) - Trustlook Inc., provider of innovative next-generation mobile security solutions, announced the first antivirus application integrated with full protection of Heartbleed vulnerability. This Antivirus application provides three major features including device check, website detection and application scanning.

Heartbleed is a major vulnerability in OpenSSL, one of the network infrastructure libraries. This vulnerability impacts services including web service, file transfer service and mail service, no matter the platform is PC or mobile. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker could steal users' login credential, private information, even the website certificate keys.

After Heartbleed's initial disclosure, Trustlook team immediately published their scanning result on Google Play, showing a large number of apps are still affected by Heartbleed. Within 36 hours, Trustlook released the emergency protection app called Heartbleed Pulse to help mobile users to mitigate Heartbleed vulnerability (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trustlook.heartpulse).
