TSA Names Johnny Eason Federal Security Director for Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, LA--(Marketwire - March 20, 2008) - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has named Johnny Eason as the federal security director for Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport.

"Johnny's experience with TSA and his aviation security background make him well suited for the job of federal security director," said Mo McGowan, TSA's assistant administrator for Security Operations.

A Louisiana native with more than 30 years of federal service, Eason joined TSA in 2004 as assistant federal security director for Baton Rouge. Before coming to TSA he was the Federal Aviation Administration's security representative for seven Louisiana airports. Prior to that, he spent five years as a Civil Aviation Security Specialist for the FAA at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. He has also served as a military police captain in the United States Marine Corps and as commanding officer of the USMC Military Police Academy.

Eason holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana Tech University and is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy.

He also will serve as federal security director for Lafayette and Lake Charles regional airports.
