TSANet Elects New Officer for 2015

TSANet Secretary Position Filled by Jim West, Director of Technical Support, Citrix Systems

OVERLAND PARK, KS--(Marketwired - December 08, 2015) - TSANet (Technical Support Alliance Network), the industry's largest vendor neutral support alliance, has elected Jim West, Director of Technical Support Americas at Citrix Systems, as the new TSANet Secretary. The officers, elected by the 11-member TSANet Board of Directors, serve one-year terms.

"Jim joins several individuals at Citrix that have been elected as Officers within the TSANet Board of Directors. As a member of the Executive Committee, Jim will bring his leadership skills to the organization representing not only Citrix but the entire industry. With TSANet at the forefront of several new initiatives, I'm very much looking forward to Jim's leadership within the Board," said Dennis Smeltzer, TSANet president.

Jim has been with Citrix since 1999 and leads a team of 100+ global resources that are product and technology diverse. He is responsible for the Escalation team that provides the bridge between the customer and the Engineering resources to resolve the most complex and impactful cases. Throughout his tenure he has established and maintained many different teams each providing valuable insight and opportunities to build cross-team collaborative relationships and processes. Jim has represented Citrix across a spectrum of levels ranging from developing and presenting technical trainings at Synergy to executive briefings with customers and partners. His direct experience working with, then leading, the critical situation team developed a valuable customer centric methodology that he works to instill across the Tech Support team.

Jim joins the existing board members: Ted Williams (Red Hat), Doug Jones (NetApp), Pamela Fowler (Actian Corporation), Jim Rubish (IBM), René Karel (VMware), Uwe Schaefer (Hewlett-Packard Company), John Bunney (Cisco Systems, Inc.), Rich Jardine (Symantec Corporation), and Kieran Collins (EMC Corp.).
