TSIA Announces Keynote Presenters for TSW 2016 San Diego Conference

Top Technology Services Leaders to Share Their Experiences Growing and Scaling a Profitable XaaS Business

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - April 15, 2016) -  The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for today's technology services organizations, has announced the keynote speakers for their spring conference, Technology Services World (TSW) 2016 San Diego, taking place May 2-4 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Conference attendees will learn from technology and services industry leaders as they share their experiences in growing and scaling a profitable technology-as-a-service (XaaS) business in sessions that follow the conference theme of "Tech as a Service: Winning in the Cloud".

Kicking off the conference is an opening keynote by Thomas Lah, Executive Director for TSIA, who will be sharing how recent trends in cloud computing have created the growing demand for technology providers to develop subscription-based offers, referencing content from TSIA's upcoming book, "Technology-as-a-Service Playbook: How to Grow a Profitable Subscription Business." Over the course of this three-day conference, attendees will hear from the following speakers on how to achieve new heights of cloud revenue growth and profitability for their company:

  • "Winning in the Cloud Economy," presented by Thomas Lah, Executive Director, TSIA.
  • "Burning the Boats: How Autodesk is Redefining the Role of Sales and Services as it Transitions from a Traditional Product Model to SaaS," presented by Callan Carpenter, VP, Global Named Accounts, Autodesk.
  • "The Operating Model Transforming 'as a Service' Businesses," presented by Lincoln Murphy, Founder, Sixteen Ventures.
  • "Growing the Top Line with Outcome-Based Business Models," presented by Richard Dresden, Executive Vice President, Sales, Mattersight.
  • "Aligning Sales, Services, and Marketing Around Customer Success: HubSpot Case Study," presented by Mark Roberge, Chief Revenue Officer, HubSpot Sales Division, HubSpot.
  • "The Message in the Cloud," presented by J.B. Wood, President & CEO, TSIA.

Taking place on Monday, May 2 from 4:15 to 5:15 PM will also be concurrent discipline-specific keynotes, which cover topics that apply to TSIA's key focus areas of customer success, education services, expand selling, field services, managed services, professional services, service revenue generation, and support services. Companies presenting in this time slot include CA Technologies, Cisco Systems, EMC, Emerson Process Management, Hewlett Packard, Informatica and Talend.

"Customers are choosing new ways to consume technology, causing more solutions providers to add subscription-based technology-as-a-service (XaaS) offers into their portfolios," said Thomas Lah, Executive Director of TSIA. "While the industry-wide shift to the cloud isn't new, it's clear that many businesses are still struggling to make their XaaS offer profitable. At TSW 2016 San Diego, attendees can learn from companies who have already made this transition to the cloud and use their knowledge as a roadmap to success. We are grateful to host these brilliant industry leaders as they share their knowledge and expertise with conference attendees."
