TTC Employees/Pensioners Raise Big Bucks for United Way

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 18, 2006) - TTC employees and pensioners have once again completed their United Way of Greater Toronto campaign. The final amount of money raised will be officially announced tomorrow.

A cheque presentation will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, December 19th, to United Way Director of Corporate and Community Engagement Quinn Bingham, by TTC Interim Chief General Manager Gary Webster, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 113 Board Member Paul Callaghan, IAMAW Lodge 235 Chair Scott Johnson and CUPE Local 2 President Mike Santos.

Showing once again that the TTC stands for "Transit That Cares", employees and pensioners raised the money through payroll deductions, bake sales, pizza sales in the subway, bingo and many more interesting activities.
