TTC HOLIDAY SEASON SERVICE SCHEDULE

Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, Assignment Editor, City Editor, News Editor, Transportation Editor TORONTO ON--(Marketwire - Dec. 20, 2007) - This holiday season avoid downtown driving hassles, as well as the high cost of parking, by taking The Better Way. Here are service changes that reflect TTC riders' holiday travel demands from Friday, December 21, 2007 to Friday, January 4, 2008.

On New Year's Eve, service will be free after 12 midnight to 4 a.m. on January 1, 2008. Late night service on most routes will operate later than usual. The specific details are below:

Friday, December 21

* Regular service.

Saturday, December 22

* Saturday service.
* Subway and most routes start at 6 a.m.

Sunday, December 23

* Sunday service.
* Subway and most routes start at 9 a.m.

Monday, December 24

* Reduced morning peak-period service.
* Reduced afternoon peak-period service from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, December 25 -- Christmas Day

* Sunday service.
* Subway and most routes start at 9 a.m.

Wednesday, December 26 -- Boxing Day

* Saturday service.
* Subway and most routes start at 6 a.m.

Thursday, December 27 and Friday, December 28

* Reduced peak-period service on the Yonge-University-Spadina Subway and the Bloor-Danforth Subway.
* Reduced peak-period bus and streetcar service.

Saturday, December 29
* Regular Saturday service.

Sunday, December 30
* Regular Sunday service.
* Most routes start at 9 a.m.

Monday, December 31 -- New Year's Eve

* Reduced morning peak-period service.
* Reduced afternoon peak-period service from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
* Subway service extended until approximately 4 a.m., Tuesday, January 1.
* Most bus and streetcar routes with late-evening service continue until 3 a.m.
* Free service after 12 midnight to 4 a.m. on January 1, 2008.
* Extra trips on all Blue Night routes between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m.
* Last trains on the Yonge-University-Spadina Subway leave Union Station at 3:32 a.m. for Finch Station and 3:36 a.m. for Downsview Station.
* Last trains on the Bloor-Danforth Subway leave Bloor-Yonge Station at 3:37 a.m. for Kipling Station and at 3:34 a.m. for Kennedy Station.
* Last train on the Scarborough RT leaves Kennedy Station at 4:04 a.m. for McCowan Station.
* Last train on the Sheppard Subway leaves Sheppard-Yonge Station at 3:58 a.m. for Don Mills Station.

Tuesday, January 1, 2008 -- New Year's Day

* Sunday service.
* Subway and most routes start at 9 a.m.

Wednesday, January 2 to Friday, January 4

* Reduced peak-period service on the Yonge-University-Spadina Subway and the Bloor-Danforth Subway.
* Reduced peak-period bus and streetcar service.

From December 24, 2007 to January 4, 2008, for just $9.00 a day, a TTC Day Pass provides unlimited one day travel for a group of up to six people, maximum two adults and not more than 4 children/youths 19 years of age or under.
