Tufin Technologies Unveils Tufin Security Suite (TSS) 5.2 for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs)

Adding Robust Multi-Tenancy Management Capabilities to an Architecture Already Optimized for Complex, Distributed Environments, Tufin Enables MSSPs to Boost Revenue Streams With an Easily Deployed, Value-Added Service Offering

RAMAT GAN, ISRAEL--(Marketwire - October 19, 2010) - Tufin Technologies today announced the availability of Tufin Security Suite 5.2 for MSSPs, a solution that enables managed security service providers to provide value-added service offerings and streamline firewall policy and change management. TSS 5.2 for MSSPs builds upon the robust centralized management capabilities powered by TSS' highly distributed, extensible architecture and adds functionality tailored to meet the unique needs of multi-tenant environments. When combined with the enhancements to TSS 5.2 (also announced today in a concurrent release), TSS 5.2 for MSSPs further demonstrates Tufin's ability to extend the value proposition for Security Lifecycle Management in terms of both the depth and breadth of supported network infrastructure and across delivery and deployment models.

In its Forrester Wave™: Managed Security Services Q3 2010, Forrester estimated the global size of the managed security services market at about $4.5 billion -- which includes outsourced and software-as-a-service (SaaS) security services as well as other annualized security operations -- and predicts a 15% growth rate for at least the next three years. In order to capitalize on the significant market opportunity that Forrester states is "becoming more important for businesses," Tufin has evolved its award-winning product to enable its MSSP partners to extend automated network security policy and change management to their customers.

TSS 5.2 for MSSPs includes all the power of TSS 5.2 for the enterprise, along with following features, developed specifically to meet the needs of MSSP that require complete and secure segregation of customer management domains. Key features include:

  • Multi-Tenancy for MSSPs: Allows MSSPs to manage virtually unlimited number of customers from a central console with complete management separation governed by robust role-based administration rights. Multi-tenancy capability in TSS 5.2 is coupled with TSS Distributed Deployment Architecture allowing MSSPs to manage 100's to 1000's of customers across multiple data centers.

  • Flexible definitions of customer domains by device, zone and user: TSS 5.2 for MSSPs features a wide variety of options for defining and provisioning customer domains. The ability to customize how accounts are managed enables MSSPs to structure account management and reporting based on a highly diverse set of customer requirements.

  • Robust reporting and report export capabilities over ftp and other channels: multiple reporting and report delivery mechanisms enable MSSPs to customize the methods by which they report and deliver critical, confidential security and compliance related data, based on the unique compliance, security and business needs of their customers.

  • Branding of reports and customer communications: enables MSSPs to tailor the look and feel of reports and communications to match the each customer's unique corporate branding, providing a much more personalized customer experience.

  • Central security change automation: Central management of all customer change requests that enforces the varying policy requirements of each organization.

  • Customized change request workflows: Ability to rapidly tailor change request workflows to meet the special needs of each customer's organizational processes.

"Some of our largest customers are MSSPs and are intimately familiar with the benefits of Security Lifecycle Management -- as their competitive landscape heats up, differentiating by launching TSS as a service made good business sense to them. Already having deep working knowledge of their requirements, we were happy to support them," said Shaul Efraim, vice president of Products, Marketing and Business Development, Tufin Technologies. "TSS 5.2's underlying Distributed Deployment Architecture is already purpose-built to support the needs of very large, complex enterprises. As a result, we were able to focus development efforts on strategic, business-enabling features for MSSPs instead of having to undergo a heavy-duty retrofit. We look forward to working with our MSSP partners to extend the benefits of TSS 5.2 to their customer base."
