TuneUp Media Unveils Its Latest Product: DeDuper

Intelligent Solution Identifies and Removes Duplicate Tracks From Digital Music Libraries

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 21, 2011) - TuneUp Media, the publisher of the #1 plug-in for iTunes, today unveiled DeDuper, a new product that intelligently identifies and removes unwanted duplicate tracks from digital music libraries.

"DeDuper is absolutely the most sophisticated approach ever developed to address the problem of duplicate tracks, one of the most common and acute pain points shared by music fans with extensive digital libraries," said TuneUp Founder and CEO Gabe Adiv. "We're confident that our 3 million users will be very excited by this new offering that utilizes the same proprietary waveform recognition technology we harnessed to power our existing product suite.

"Deleting duplicates ultimately makes it easier to engage and enjoy your music collection. DeDuper is a perfect complement to our existing services, and a natural extension of the TuneUp brand, which has become synonymous with cleaning and managing your music library," Adiv added.

DeDuper is the latest addition to TuneUp's suite of digital music management and discovery products that enhance the iTunes experience, including Clean, which corrects missing or mislabeled song information; Cover Art, which fills in missing album covers; and Tuniverse™, an infotainment sidebar that gives music fans instant access to highly targeted concert alerts, artist bios, news and music videos.

In conjunction with the launch of DeDuper, the company also unveiled TuneUp 2.0, a refreshed user interface designed to streamline and improve the customer experience.

New Pricing Structure

TuneUp also announced a new pricing structure, effective today, with Clean, Cover Art and DeDuper offered as separate products available individually at $19.95/year or $29.95/lifetime. Users can instead choose to purchase the TuneUp Bundle, which includes the entire suite of products, for $39.95/year or $49.95/lifetime.

The company continues to offer a limited use free version -- TuneUp Lite -- that offers users 50 song clean-ups, 25 album covers and 25 duplicate removals.

DeDuper is available to existing TuneUp customers as part of the version 2.0 software update. No separate download is required. TuneUp 2.0 is currently available for iTunes and Windows Media Player.
