TuringSense and A+Labs Partner for Advanced Tennis Wearable Production

Collaborate on Design and Initial Manufacturing of TuringSense's Cutting-Edge Wearable Technology

SANTA CLARA, CA, and BEIJING, CHINA--(Marketwired - Dec 21, 2015) -  TuringSense, a Silicon Valley pioneer of wearable sports technology, and A+Labs, a smart device incubator, announced today that they have reached an agreement for A+Labs to be TuringSense's design and manufacturing partner for initial volume production of PIVOT, the most advanced wearable for tennis today.

The agreement calls for A+Labs to provide a full package of production services for TuringSense, from hardware design and debug to industrial design to project management of the entire production process, including certifications, resources and supply chains. TuringSense has developed breakthrough technology that features innovative multi-sensor, high-speed motion capture and analysis. The technology will revolutionize the way sports are played, practiced, and coached by transforming training methods that enable athletes to optimize technique and prevent injuries.

"We believe our approach of partnering with an innovative and non-traditional incubator like A+Labs, which provides a full range of services, is the most capital efficient path to market," said Dr. Limin He, co-founder and CEO of TuringSense. "By working with A+Labs, we can scale up more quickly, at lower cost and with less risk."

"A+Labs mission is to offer smart hardware start-ups the state-of-the art equipment and capabilities required to scale emerging technologies from design to production," said Dr. Huijun Qiao, partner of AngelPlus and founder/CEO of A+Labs. "We believe that the opportunities in the wearables market are unlimited for TuringSense's technology. We look forward to taking the next step in bringing this innovative idea to market."

Initial trial production runs are set to start in January 2016; hardware and industrial designs are scheduled to be finalized in March 2016 and testing and compliance certification will take place in April 2016. Production is scheduled to start in June 2016 in A+Labs Beijing facility.

In addition to tennis, TuringSense's technology opens up a whole new world of potential target markets not possible with current wearable products -- such as other sports like golf, as well as physical therapy, insurance compliance, rehabilitation, posture correction and virtual reality/augmented reality and gaming.

TuringSense launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo on December 8 for PIVOT. The campaign runs through mid-January 2016. For updates, please check the company website at
