Turnaround Pro James F. Martin Launches ACM Capital Partners, a Middle Market Investment, Advisory Firm

Assisting Companies in Transition or Distress, ACM's Seasoned Professional Advisors Deliver Turnaround, Operational, and Transactional Guidance to Create Value, Provide Strategic Solutions to Short- and Long-Term Financial Issues

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - February 17, 2009) - South Florida native James F. Martin, a recognized turnaround expert, has launched ACM Capital Partners, a middle market investment and advisory firm delivering turnaround, operational and transactional guidance that aligns stakeholder interest to maximize companies in transition. The firm provides value and strategic solutions to short- and long-term financial issues.

What differentiates ACM from its peers is a unique approach focused on injecting various forms of capital: financial, intellectual and operational, directly into its growing portfolio of clients. Alongside capital infusion, ACM places a member of each one of its three discipline teams: Executive, Financial and Operational, to work with each client and provide a wealth of knowledge in respective fields.

Martin will serve as Managing Partner and will remain an advisor to the mezzanine debt and equity stakeholders for a tier-two auto supplier and a leading plastic injection molding company with plants on three continents.

Per public filings, Martin sold two divisions of Avborne, Inc. for more than $125 million. Avborne, an Aviation industry Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul ("MRO") had been hit hard by the tragic events of September 11, an unprecedented challenge for Martin, who ultimately led the two Avborne divisions from the brink of bankruptcy to sustained profitability over a six-year period, resulting in the addition of 350 new jobs in South Florida.

"We expect to play a significant role in restoring economic value to the middle market -- the main engine of our nation's economy -- from job creation to boosting the financial and operational health of our clients," Martin said. "ACM's team of deal execution and investment banking professionals will deliver based on marquee experience and a proven track record of shared risk and responsibility for the success of our clients."

Troy Templeton, CEO and Managing Partner at Miami-based Trivest Partners L.P., worked with Martin during Avborne's successful turnaround and commented on his performance.

"The sale of Avborne capped the conclusion of a successful partnership," Templeton said. "Under Trivest's ownership, Avborne was able to execute its long-term business plan and drive growth and shareholder value, the entire Avborne management team, led at the time by Jim Martin, deserves a great deal of credit for the Company's success."
