Tutu School Offers Mommies a Chance to Twirl Their Way Into Shape

San Francisco's Favorite New Ballerina Breeding Ground, Tutu School, Will Launch TutuFit™ This May to Offer Fitness Enthusiasts and Hot Mamas a Chance to Twirl Their Way to a Better Body

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 6, 2008) - Tutu School, San Francisco's latest addition for petit ballerinas and mini-male dancers, announced that it will launch a new fitness program aimed at adults who want to get into dancer's shape using a slightly different approach than a traditional ballet class. The classes, appropriately called TutuFit™, will begin May 5th and will be taught by professional ballet dancer and Tutu School instructor, Laura Dunlop.

"Ever since we opened Tutu School, the mothers of my students have been begging me to start a program like this. So many of them are bored with their old exercise routines, and are looking for fun and unique ways to stay in shape... watching their little ones experience ballet has inspired them to get moving again," remarked Tutu School Founder and Director, Genevieve Custer Weeks. "Long, lean muscle are something we all want and truly enjoying yourself while you work towards that body is just an added bonus."

TutuFit™ is an adult fitness class based on the conditioning and toning qualities of ballet technique. Each 45-minute class incorporates the muscle-lengthening and strengthening principles that shape a dancer's body, but no prior ballet or dance experience is required. Classes take place on Mondays from 6:00-6:45 p.m. and Thursdays from 5:15-6:00 p.m. Single classes are $15, and class cards range from $65 to $125. In celebration of Mother's Day 2008, Tutu School will offer all moms one class free with a ten class card purchase.
