Tuxedo Agency Wins at the 2012 IAB MIXX Awards

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 4, 2012) - Montreal's Tuxedo Agency was a winner at the Interactive Advertising Bureau's (IAB) 8th annual MIXX Awards, which were announced last night in New York City. The IAB Awards bring together the world's best in digital advertising, its brightest innovators, pioneers and leaders in order to recognise creative and cutting-edge ads that have had an impact on the industry. 111 finalists from countries like the USA, Australia, Brazil, China, Denmark, Italy, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and the UK were represented.

"The 2012 MIXX Awards nominees represent the best in interactive advertising," said David Doty, Executive Vice President and CMO, IAB. "This year we saw an impressive range of submissions, showcasing stellar achievements in the digital advertising ecosystem from across the globe."

Tuxedo Agency was nominated and won a Bronze MIXX Award in the Best Video Advertising category for L'Oréal USA's "Go Beyond the Cover" campaign.

This campaign was nominated along with American Express and Digitas' "Amex Sync Show" and American Express, Digitas and Momentum's "American Express Unstaged" campaigns.

The IAB Awards complete a very successful competition run for Tuxedo. The Montreal-based boutique agency has also won a Cannes Lion, a CRÉA prize, a Brand Innovators award as well as two Bees awards this year.

Arising from a meeting between Zombie Boy and Ludwig Ciupka, Creative Director at Tuxedo who discovered Rico in 2009, this collaboration resulted in a project aiming to highlight the importance our society gives to looks, and how they can be misleading. The basic idea was to "transform" Zombie Boy by completely hiding his tattoos (face and body) with Dermablend Leg & Body Cover and Tattoo Primer products.
