TV Guide's Host, Tabatha Coffey, Works the Red Carpet in an Ali Rahimi Original

HOLLYWOOD, CA--(Marketwire - February 28, 2011) - Co-hosting this year's festivities for the TV Guide Network, Tabatha Coffey, star of BRAVO Television's "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" contacted Ali Rahimi to create a gown reflecting her personality. Rahimi achieved this with a black strapless gown consisting of a draped black silk bodice and a skirt of cut georgette.

"I fell in love with the cut georgette," said Tabatha. "Once I saw what he sketched and he showed me his vision for the fabric, it was a done deal."

Not only will Rahimi be dressing Coffey for the Academy Awards, he is also designing her outfit for TV Guide's "Academy Awards Red Carpet Fashion Wrap Show" on Monday at 8 pm.

Also on the red carpet in an Ali Rahimi original is Cheryl Cecchetto, president of Sequoia Productions -- the producer of the Academy Awards Governor's Ball. In her 22nd year as producer, Cecchetto has repeatedly enlisted Rahimi for his designs.

"His aesthetic is Hollywood glamour in the truest sense," states Cecchetto. "I wanted something with sleeves, and he obliged. He is a true artist and I love getting to work with him."

Escorting nominee Ian Barnes is Beth Smith, editor of the British Magazine, Selvedge:

"I recently saw Rahimi's work on the red carpet at this year's BAFTA Awards when he dressed nominee, Barbara Hershey. Her ensemble was stunning. So, to have the opportunity to have him dress me for the Oscars is quite an honor. And," adds Smith, "we have the English connection, which makes it even more special."

Also in Rahimi originals this weekend are Sofia Milos of television's CSI: Miami. Her gown is of an embroidered silk taffeta with a hand-embroidered silk organza skirt. And, Emmy-winner Jane Lynch is in a custom jacket, celebrating at the Elton John Oscar Party.

In his 20 years designing in Los Angeles, Rahimi has dressed A-List celebrities such as Anjelica Huston, Angela Bassett and Felicity Huffman. Rahimi also designs striking accessories for men and women and tuxedoes and other garments for men. He also creates more casual pieces, such as the iconic pink suit worn by Reese Witherspoon in "Legally Blonde 2" or the outfits for Jane Lynch in the television hit show, "Glee" in their rendition of Madonna's "Vogue" video.

Rahimi has drawn clients from around the world with his impeccable attention to detail and exquisite creations. He and his partner, John Barle, provide each client with attentive and personal service in the beautiful Mon Atelier salon, located in Los Angeles.
