TVG Predicts American Pharoah to Appear at Haskell Invitational, Following Triple Crown Win

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 12, 2015) - TVG, America's #1 Online Horse Race Wagering and TV Network, says that the Haskell Invitational, at odds of four to five, is the favorite track to see Triple Crown winner American Pharoah's next run.

"American Pharoah won the nation's heart when he crossed the finish line at the Belmont Stakes to end the 37 year wait for a Triple Crown champion," said Kip Levin, CEO of TVG. "His time in the spotlight is hardly over, however, as he is expected to hit the track once again. The real question on everyone's minds is, 'where will he race next?'"

TVG's racing analysts consulted with Betfair to get the odds for each of the following races to be American Pharoah's next foray onto the track:

  • 4/5 Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park on August 2, 2015
  • 4/1 Jim Dandy Stakes at Saratoga on August 1, 2015
  • 4/1 TVG Pacific Classic at Del Mar on August 22, 2015
  • 7/1 Travers Stakes at Saratoga on August 29, 2015
  • 20/1 Mystic Lake Derby at Canterbury Park on August 29, 2015
  • 16/1 Awesome Again Stakes at Santa Anita on September 26, 2015
  • 20/1 Pennsylvania Derby at Parx on September 19, 2015
  • 33/1 Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont Park on September 26, 2015
  • 10/1 Any Other Race

After the Breeders' Cup Classic on October 31, 2015, it's expected American Pharoah will move into the next chapter of his career at Coolmore's Ashford Stud in Lexington, Kentucky. TVG racing analysts consulted with Betfair to produce the odds as what his initial fee would be:

  • 3/5 $175,000 to $200,000
  • 3/1 Under $175,000
  • 4/1 Over $200,000

The favorite at 3/5 odds for $175,000 to $200,000 would place American Pharoah as one of the most expensive first season sires in history. American Pharoah is also priced at 3/1 to end the season unbeaten by Betfair, if he races twice more.

TVG Network will broadcast all races live. For analysis, opinion or to book TVG talent please contact: Kevin Grigsby, Vice President of Programming at kgrigsby@tvg.com or call: (310) 242-9418.
