LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 24, 2012) - From Saratoga Race Course in upstate New York to Del Mar Thoroughbred Club outside San Diego, TVG, America's Horseracing Network, will be on-site to capture the excitement of the upcoming big weekend of racing.

TVG will present wall-to-wall coverage Sunday from Del Mar beginning at 9:00 a.m. PT as it leads up to a special 90-minute show dedicated to the Grade I, $1 million TVG Pacific Classic. That show begins at 4:30 p.m. PT, with post time for the race, which will air exclusively on TVG, scheduled for 5:18 p.m. PT. The race will also air on Prime Ticket, Fox Sports San Diego, Altitude, MASN and MSG+.

The 22nd renewal of the TVG Pacific Classic marks the third consecutive year TVG has sponsored the race.

"The TVG Pacific Classic is Del Mar's signature race and one of the crown jewels of west coast racing," said Tony Allevato, TVG's executive vice president. "We take great pride in airing it exclusively and in bringing our audience all the key storylines leading up to and following the race."

Hosting the TVG Pacific Classic show will be Todd Schrupp, joined by analysts Simon Bray and Paul LoDuca. Christina Olivares will handle the reporting duties. Greg Wolf and Bob Baedeker will also be on site as part of the earlier coverage, which will include a pair of Grade II races, the Pat O'Brien Stakes and the Del Mar Mile.

Turning to Saratoga, TVG's on-site coverage is a three-day affair with Matt Carothers, Tom Cassidy and Mike Joyce delivering commentary, analysis and handicapping. Things kick off tomorrow with the Grade I, $500,000 Ballerina. Saturday includes a trio of Grade I races -- the $1 million Travers Stakes, the $500,000 King's Bishop and the $500,000 Test. The curtain comes down on Sunday with the Grade I, $600,000 Personal Ensign and the Grade II, $250,000 Ballston Spa.
