WHAT:

Twentieth Century Fox announced today the winner of the "Royal Kitty in Your City" sweepstakes, in which a special event screening of "GARFIELD: A TAIL OF TWO KITTIES" will take place in the lucky movie fan's hometown.

In "GARFIELD: A TAIL OF TWO KITTIES," the follow-up to the international blockbuster film "Garfield," the world's favorite feline travels to England, where he's mistaken for a look-alike, regal cat who has inherited a castle. Befitting the film's English setting, "Royal Guards" will watch over the event. And true to Garfield's unique hue, premiere guests will arrive on a special orange carpet, instead of the traditional red walkway.

WHO:

Sweepstakes winner Dakota Pruitt, 13, of Summerville, South Carolina, will treat family and friends -- and very special guest, Rogue, Dakota's domestic short hair cat -- to the gala screening, June 11 at Summerville's Regal Azalea Square Stadium 16 theatres. Also attending will be Jim Davis, the creator of the "Garfield" comic strip, and the event's organizers have invited many other local notables and VIPs. Summerville Mayor Berlin G. Myers will make a special proclamation that day. Nickelodeon hosted the sweepstakes, through the cable channel's website, www.nick.com. Nickelodeon will send a crew to the event to capture all the action.

Twentieth Century Fox and the American Humane Association (AHA) have teamed for Adopt-A-Cat Month in June, and event organizers plan to invite local Summerville shelters and pet stores to stage a cat adoption promotion at the event. The felines will be treated to a "cat spa," a buffet of feline delicacies, and an array of cat-friendly luxuries.
