Two of Las Vegas-Based Hot Rod City's Prized Vehicles Are Headed for the World Renowned Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, Held at Mandalay Bay September 20-22

The Multi-Faceted Automotive Mecca Is One of the Stops for the Poker Run Event at the 12th Annual Las Vegas BikeFest on September 29 From 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Sep 11, 2012) -  Hot Rod City (www.hotrodcitylasvegas.com) is heating up -- and getting in on some exciting world renowned Las Vegas-based events in late September.

The multi-faceted automotive mecca, located at 5115 Dean Martin Dr., just South of Tropicana off the 15 Freeway, has two of its showcase vehicles -- a 1971 Cadillac Hearse known as "The Dead Sled" and a 1960 Chevy El Camino -- in the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction (www.barrett-jackson.com), which takes place at Mandalay Bay September 20-22. The hearse will be auctioned on Thursday, September 20 and the El Camino -- a Frame off Restored Showcar -- will be auctioned during a prime time slot on Friday, September 21.

The following week, Hot Rod City will be one of the stops for the Poker Run event of the 12th Annual Las Vegas BikeFest (www.lasvegasbikefest.com), which takes place at various venues throughout the city September 27-30. The Hot Rod City leg of the Poker Run will take place Saturday, September 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The festivities include food and ice cream trucks, music and free admission to all BikeFest Poker Run riders to the Dezer Collection Las Vegas (www.dezercollection.com), the crown jewel of Hot Rod City which -- since opening in early 2011 -- has become a dynamic must see part of the ever happening retro and custom car culture in Las Vegas. It became so popular that it quickly expanded from its initial 5,000 to a 25,000 square-foot space.
