Two Leading European Mobile Operators Deploy Combined Procera and Ortiva Solution for Video Optimization

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 21, 2011) - Procera® Networks, Inc. (NYSE Amex: PKT), the intelligent policy enforcement company, today announced that two leading European mobile operators leverage PacketLogic™ to enable a comprehensive integrated solution for video optimization. Both operators also selected the Ortiva Wireless iVOG (internet Video Optimization Gateway) as their preferred video optimizer. Ortiva was recently named one of FierceWireless Magazine's "Fierce 15" for its leading technology and rapid market acceptance.

In preparation for the two deployments, Ortiva and Procera underwent interoperability testing that showed a 30% reduction in video throughput while maintaining video quality. Procera's PacketLogic improves capacity and extends operability lifetime by offloading almost 50% of irrelevant traffic from being processed in the iVOG. This combination provides a proven solution with a compelling and quick return on investment.

"The value of PacketLogic continues to increase with the rapid adoption of online video content by broadband users that put a significant strain on operator's networks," said Jon Lindén, Vice President of Global Marketing at Procera. "We have a large installed base of mobile operators, many of which deploy or are considering deploying video optimization. Our success reflects our ability to understand our customers' requirements and easily accommodate requests to integrate with complementary network products and solutions. Ortiva has an impressive track record of winning acceptance with mobile operators and we are closely monitoring the results of the first stages of these two live installations."
