Two Maria-Chapdelaine RCM Businesses Receive Support from Government of Canada

DOLBEAU-MISTASSINI, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 11, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that two of the region's enterprises-Usinage numérique H.B. Inc. and Nature 3M Inc.-have been granted financial support to improve their competitiveness and increase production.

This assistance, which totals $518,230, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program in the form of two repayable contributions of $236,000 and $65,600 for Usinage numérique H.B. Inc. and one of $216,630 for Nature 3M Inc.

Quick facts

  • The first contribution to Usinage numérique H.B. Inc. was used for the construction of a building and the acquisition of equipment, whereas the second will serve for the purchase of additional manufacturing equipment to help the company better meet customer needs, increase its sales and diversify the region's economy.

  • The contribution to Nature 3M Inc. will be used for, among other things, setting up a new building and acquiring equipment that will serve for the preparation of most furs, including seal pelts. This project will allow the company, which currently employs 70 people, to improve its competitiveness while creating four new jobs.
