Two Travelling Exhibitions Come to the Chaudiere-Appalaches Region

Government of Canada supports the Musee mineralogique et minier de Thetford Mines


THETFORD MINES, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 5, 2015) - The Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development, Minister for La Francophonie and Member of Parliament (Mégantic-L'Érable), today announced $15,000 in funding to help the Musée minéralogique et minier de Thetford Mines host the exhibitions We are the Insects and So Many Tales... Insects in Human Cultures. He made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

The Government of Canada has provided this funding through the Exhibition Circulation Fund of the Museums Assistance Program. These travelling exhibitions, scheduled for February 7 to May 10, 2015, will give museum visitors a chance to discover the biodiversity of insects and their multi-faceted and fascinating relationships with humans.
