Tyche Energy Corporation -- Operations Update

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwire - April 18, 2008) - Tyche Energy Corporation (PINKSHEETS: TYEG) (DR: T2Y) advises that initiatives are underway to rationalize its portfolio of petroleum and natural gas assets with a view to focusing on the upside potential of its wholly owned subsidiary Tyche Energy Inc. Tyche Energy Inc. owns producing and non producing petroleum and natural gas properties in southwestern Ontario, and northeastern B.C., Canada.

The Operator of the Dunwich, Ontario properties has advised Tyche that the exploratory well drilled in late 2007 showed signs of hydrocarbons; however not in commercial quantities. A second exploratory well is planned for the Dunwich prospect in 2008 and the Operator is currently evaluating technical data obtained from the first well in order to optimize the target for the second exploratory location.
