Tyco Electronics Corporation, Versatile Systems, and VIRA Manufacturing to Demonstrate a Retail Customer Interactive System With Impart Media Group at Digital Signage Expo

The SyncSeer™ for Retail Leverages RFID to Bring Interactive Customer Experience

CHICAGO, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 14, 2007 -- Tyco Electronics Corporation and Versatile Systems, Inc. will showcase the latest extension of the SyncSeer system, SyncSeer system for retail, at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE), May 16-17 at the Navy Pier Exhibition Center in Chicago, Illinois. This intelligent shelving system provides a unique and highly interactive shopping experience by combining core SyncSeer system components, RFID and interactive kiosk technology. VIRA Manufacturing, a leader in innovative retail merchandising systems, has embedded the SyncSeer system for retail as a solution for both Consumer Electronics and General Merchandise retailers.

Impart Media Group, Inc. (OTCBB: IMMG), a global provider of end-to-end information networks, transactional kiosks, digital signage solutions, and direct-to-consumer advertising, is showcasing the revolutionary SyncSeer system for retail merchandising solution in the Interactive Pavilion at Booth #1113, as a product integration expansion of its Impart IQ™ platform offering for interactive digital signage applications.

Consumer electronic retailers demand power and security when merchandising sophisticated product lines such as cameras, camcorders and phones. Incorporating a tethered solution with the SyncSeer system provides retailers with not only these core components, but also the ability to provide the consumer with a more informative experience while at the same time returning invaluable insight into consumer behavior to corporate merchandising and marketing management. The data provided by the SyncSeer system will allow the retailer to remotely track adherence to a merchandising plan and the effectiveness of that plan. The immediate return of these key data points will enable the retailer to make adjustments that will return the desired result, increased sales.

As a further enhancement of the consumer experience, Impart will also display a Consumer Information Portal powered by the SyncSeer system. This technology takes merchandising to the next level by reducing reliance on the sometimes unpredictable and difficult to retain in-store sales associates. Presenting key product selling points to the consumer in a media rich environment enhances the in-store experience. Product features and functionality are presented in a consistent and effective manner while available to the consumer on demand. The capability of the SyncSeer system to integrate with the retailer's back office business systems provides the consumer a view into specific store data such as size availability, competitive products, as well as related items of interest. Again, marketing data is compiled and aggregated to provide the retailer a clearer view of consumer product interaction and response.

The result of an alliance between Tyco Electronics and Versatile Systems Inc., the SyncSeer system is a modular software product that allows enterprises to derive more business value from new and existing TCP/IP-based systems and capitalizes on the rapid expansion of these systems. By correlating data from previously autonomous solutions, the SyncSeer system returns a higher level of understanding of the complex relationships between these systems while managing the decision process from a single interface.

"Intelligent retailers demand intelligent solutions," said Laird Laabs, Impart's co-founder. "The SyncSeer system allows Impart to further expand on its Impart IQ™ platform with unique, interactive capabilities and advance metrics that merchandisers and brands are demanding. You will see more exciting product and strategic market collaborative announcements from Tyco Electronics, Versatile, VIRA, and Impart over the next few months, as the world gets smaller and digital interactive and transactional applications in the retail sector explode."
