TyMetrix to Host Panel Discussion at ACC Europe on the Value of Prioritizing Outsourced and In-Sourced Legal Services

LONDON--(Marketwired - May 10, 2013) -

TyMetrix, the global leader in intelligent solutions for managing the business of law, will be a premier sponsor at the 6th Annual Association of Corporate Counsel Europe (ACC) Conference in Barcelona, Spain and will host a panel discussion titled, "Law department management - outsourcing vs. insourcing, controlling legal costs and maintaining sanity."

The aim of the TyMetrix panel is to review current and evolving strategies in managing the growing work of larger legal departments with a variety of resources in-house and externally. TyMetrix has seen a growing trend in which legal departments are being forced to innovate with procurement of legal services and to demonstrate the added value of the in-house lawyer. Balancing cost and budget with the necessity of providing efficient, proactive and responsive service, and a review of options for outsourced vs. in-sourced legal services is essential. In this process, it is important to determine where models for outsourced services can be reviewed for cost and management efficiencies including alternative billing methods and sourcing. In turn, looking at in-house and outsourced legal services in a collaborative manner can help promote knowledge-sharing and further efficiencies. This is particularly relevant in managing work in jurisdictions outside of the core in-house locations.

Panelists include:
David Bourdon, Head of Legal for EU Affairs, Competition Law and Group Legal Function, SocGen
Hans Albers, Senior Director and General Counsel EMEA, Juniper Networks, Inc.
James Bellerjeau, General Counsel & Secretary, Mettler-Toledo International, Inc.

Hotel Rey Juan Carlos
Barcelona, Spain

Sunday, May 12 - Tuesday, May 14, 2013
