Typhoon Intersects 14.9 g/t Au on the Fayolle Project

LAVAL, CANADA--(Marketwire - Dec. 20, 2007) - TYPHOON EXPLORATION INC. (TSX VENTURE:TOO) reports the best of the first 23 drilling results from the 27 diamond drill campaign performed lately on the Fayolle project.

The drilling results from the Est extension of the Fayolle showing are:

- Drill hole FA-07-11 to FA-07-23 were drilled in order to verify the extension of the mineralization intersected in 2005

- Drill hole FA-07-13 has revealed a mineralized zone grading 2.91g/t Au over 4.25 metres including a 7.34 g/t Au over 1.5 metres intersection in a similar lithology as the one recouped in the drill hole FA-05-15

- Drill hole FA-07-20 intersected a mineralized zone which returned 1.44g/t Au over 0.5 metre.

These results indicate that the gold mineralization on Fayolle is continuous to the East.

The drill hole FA-07-01 has encountered a mineralized zone grading 1.54 g/t Au over 1.5 metres in the west-northwest extension of the 2006 drilled sector.

The drill hole FA-07-08 intersected a mineralized zone which returned 1.44 g/t Au over 0.5 metre. These results indicate that the gold mineralization on Fayolle is continuous to the west and the northwest.

The best intervals of this series of results(i) are:

---------------------------------------------
Hole # From To Grade
---------------------------------------------
(metres) (metres) (g/t Au - metres)
---------------------------------------------
FA-07-01 217.5 219 1.54 1.5
---------------------------------------------
FA-07-08 131.5 132 1.44 0.5
---------------------------------------------

The drill holes FA-07-09 et FA-07-10 respectively have encountered a mineralized zone grading 14.09 g/t AU over 0.5 metre and 1.13 g/t AU over 1.5 metres.

The best intervals of this series of results(i) are:

The following table confirms the continuity of values recouped increasing considerably the volume of mineralization at surface on the Fayolle project. This zone remains opened to the East and North-East and has not been tested at depth yet. Very little work has been done in this area to date.
