TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - Oct 2, 2013) - U-Be-Livin-Smart (UBLS), an innovative, new provider of healthy, affordable nutrient-dense food products, announced today the official launch of its Feed 88 Million program in the U.S. Underway since the company's inception, the program aims to feed 88 million undernourished, underprivileged people in North America in the next decade and has fed over 60,000 people since January.
U-Be-Livin-Smart, a start-up that began selling to retailers in January 2013, is dedicated to delivering nutrient-dense, deliciously smart food. The company's "Karma"ffin products are nutrient dense muffins that deliver seven grams of protein, one whole serving of fruits and vegetables, three grams of fiber and only 140 calories per muffin. The muffins are also gluten and nut free, have no added oil, salt, sugar or additives and preservatives.
The company was invited to participate in the News and Documentary Emmy's prestigious gift bag this year and drove a truck to New York to make a muffin drop to hungry Emmy-goers. As part of its mission to Feed 88 Million, they also fed 18,000 nutrient dense muffins to children and adults at The Food Bank for New York City.

In addition to New York, the company has been working with the North Texas Food Bank to deliver muffins on a quarterly basis to a hugely under-served population.
