"U Gotta Love It" - 2008 Iowa State Fair Set August 7-17

DES MOINES, IA--(Marketwire - August 19, 2007) - This year's Iowa State Fair is drawing to a close, but the excitement is already building for the 2008 Fair, which runs August 7-17 with the theme "U Gotta Love It."

The colorful logo, designed by Trilix Marketing Group of Urbandale, features bold graphics in purple, bright green and red. "U Gotta Love It" celebrates the passion Fairgoers have for the state's great Fair and all the traditions they look forward to each year, including food, fun, free entertainment, competition, livestock and people watching.

Fair Fans around the world agree -- "U Gotta Love It." The state's largest tourism event, the Fair annually attracts more than a million people to enjoy the state's largest arts show, the largest foods department of any state fair and one of the world's largest livestock shows. In addition to being named in the New York Times best-selling travel book "1000 Places To See Before You Die," the Fair is included in the newly published "1000 Place To See in the U.S.A. and Canada Before You Die."

In 2006, the Fair was listed in Discover America's Top 200 Events in the Nation, joining the ranks of the Super Bowl, the Kentucky Derby and the Daytona 500. The event was USA Weekend's #2 choice for summer fun in America and recognized by Family Fun magazine as one of America's Great Fairs and Festivals.

Information on the 2007 Fair will be available on the Fair's website through October 1. Final attendance figures for the 2007 Fair will be released in late September.
