u-Nav Microelectronics Announces Over 4 Million GPS Chipsets Shipped and the Expansion of the Management Team

IRVINE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 4, 2007 -- u-Nav Microelectronics, developer of one of the world's smallest and ultra low power Global Positioning System (GPS) integrated circuits and GPS software, announces that more than 4 million GPS chipsets with navigation software have been shipped. u-Nav is also announcing the promotion of Rich Lockwood to the position of Vice President of Sales, welcomes Dennis Wittman as the CFO, and Eric Huang as the Vice President of Business and Technology Development.

Rich Lockwood has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Sales. He has 17 years of sales, marketing, and engineering experience in the wireless communications and semiconductor industries, and has served as US & European Sales Director for u-Nav since October 2002. Mr. Lockwood's responsibilities were expanded to include worldwide sales in August 2006. Since that time, u-Nav has achieved an average of 35% quarter-over-quarter revenue growth, and several key new design wins.

Dennis Wittman has joined u-Nav as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He has over 25 years of financial experience including public company experience and taking a company through an IPO. Most recently he served as Chief Financial Officer of MediaWorks Integrated Systems, a fabless semiconductor company. In addition, Mr. Wittman was Chief Financial Officer of Micronix Integrated Systems, a manufacturer of application specific integrated circuits, where he completed the successful sale of Micronix to a public company.

Eric Huang is joining the u-Nav team as the Vice President of Business and Technology Development. His career spans over 25 years in the integrated circuits and embedded systems design industry. He has 15 years of engineering management experience, an advanced engineering degree from UCLA and an MBA from USC. He was the General Manager of Conexant and Centrality's Shanghai Facilities. He brings valuable experience and knowledge in building and managing Asian teams.
