The album was recorded in CTM Studios in Halifax, Nova Scotia and produced by Juno-nominee Cory Tetford who has toured alongside acts such as Great Big Sea and Sheryl Crow. Shawn Brady is thrilled to return to Halifax to celebrate the CD release of Electric Blood with a high-energy, solo-acoustic performance featuring the entire album on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Pogue Fado (in the Frigate Room) located at 1581 Barrington Street, in Halifax at 9:00 p.m. Electric Blood CD's will be on sale for $10 each. Shawn Brady lives to perform. By day he works as a director at a major hospital in Toronto and by night he performs live up to five nights a week in various cover bands including 'Elevation', a successful U2 tribute show having performed over 1000 shows in 14 countries including Japan, Italy, Spain, and England and across North America, coast-to-coast.

Amidst all this, Shawn Brady felt that something was missing. His original voice. His original music. He felt he had to make the time to write, record and produce his own album. He decided Halifax was the ideal location. "Halifax is an absolute mecca for musical talent," says Brady, "to have the opportunity to record my album there with Cory Tetford was a dream come true. The openness, collaboration and flexibility with the whole recording process were incredible - something I could have never achieved in Toronto."

Brady made the trip from Toronto to Halifax over four weekends and the result is his debut album Electric Blood featuring ten tight, high-energy, radio-ready rock songs with big ideas and influences ranging from Bruce Springsteen, U2 and The Killers to the Ramones and Green Day.

Shawn Brady's exciting ties to Halifax go back to 2007 when he won the Halifax Bluenose Half-Marathon after a late night concert performing with his U2-tribute band 'Elevation'. The story went on to be featured in two major Halifax newspapers the next day.

Shawn Brady has earned a reputation with fans and critics across the world for delivering passionate, high-energy performances that truly connect with audiences. George Stroumboulopoulos (former MuchMusic VJ who interviewed U2) and has attended Elevation shows had this to say: "I am normally a bitch about the song Bad if it isn't performed well, but you guys played it great and by the end I thought I was listening to the album."

The video for the first single (, Highway of Heroes, was produced by Love & Crossbones Productions and released on November 1, 2011. It was shot on location at the Badlands in Caledon, Ontario and tells the story of the effect of war on two friends.
