April 04, 2011 16:41 ET's First Standalone Mini-UBOC Is Big on Prize Money and Fun

UB's Mini-UBOC Low Stakes Buy-In Online Championship Tournament Series Features 27 Mini-UBOC Events Over 8 Days and $650K Guaranteed in Cash and Prizes, Including the $100K GTD Mini-UBOC Championship

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - April 4, 2011) - With a stellar performance from's Mini-UBOC6 earlier this year, the cry for a standalone online tournament series for players with limited bankroll is about to be answered. There'll be no need to sit on the sidelines at the leading online poker room from April 10th through 17th when an all-new Mini-UBOC will deliver 27 awesome low-stakes buy-in events that also offer a stunning $650K in guaranteed cash and prizes.

It's the poker room's first ever independent Mini-UBOC tournament series where tiny buy-ins still stack up to some seriously sexy prize pools and special Mini-UBOC Challenge prizes, such as freeroll entries, tournament seats and cash bonuses.

Kicking off the Mini-UBOC line-up is a $50+5 buy-in $50K GTD NLH Deep Stack event on Sunday, April 10th at 14:05 ET. A second Deep stack NLH (antes from the start) $50+5 buy-in $50K GTD tourney is scheduled for Wednesday, April 13th at 20:05 ET, and a range of tournament types and buy-ins have been added daily at the Euro-friendly time of 16:05 ET that will include UB's inaugural Triple Shootout Turbo event on Saturday, April 16th.

The highlight of the eight day small-but-big series will be the Mini-UBOC Championship Monster Stack NLH; it's a $75+7 buy-in boasting a supersized $100K GTD event on Sunday, April 17th at 16:05 ET.

It's all about the game and the competition as players vie for the money and the glory that comes with taking down a Mini-UBOC tournament, but the excitement doesn't end there. There's a total of four Mini-UBOC contests where you don't have to top the tournament winners' lists to reap the rewards.

This time, the King of Cashing replaces the Bubble Buster Challenge, and it's ratcheting up the stakes in a huge way; there's a $12,000 World Series of Poker Main Event package on the line for the player who notches up the most Mini-UBOC cashes. The King of Cashing winner will also be eligible for UB's lucrative 'Show Up, Get Paid' promotion too, which means they'll pocket a minimum of $1,000 just for turning up in Vegas and taking a seat in the 2011 Main Event sporting the UB brand.

The Triple Pay Challenge awards entry to a $10K freeroll to any player who cashes in three Mini-UBOC events. The Bubble Busted Bonus will see the unlucky 'Bubble Boy' (or girl) receive $50 in Event Dollars to reinvest in other Mini-UBOC events. Rounding out the Mini-UBOC contests is the Championship Bonus. Finish in the top 50 spots in the Monster Stack Main Event to earn a $215 entry for the following Sunday's $200K GTD.

Team UB Pro Bounties apply too, so knock a Team UB Pro to the rails and win back the buy-in of that particular tourney in Event Dollars, along with the obvious bragging rights that come with busting a pro. Plus, every player who makes a final table will have their choice of either a branded hat or T-shirt.

Mini-UBOC has it all covered with an exciting calendar of daily events. The focus is on popular No Limit Texas Hold 'em tournaments, but with Deep Stack, Turbo, Ultra Turbo, Sniper, 4-Max, and 6-Max variations to mix it up, and a couple of PLO and PLO8 tourneys added to keep Omaha fans happy. While the buy-ins might be 'mini' to start with, players can also win their seats for less by participating in the many Mini-UBOC satellites, which begin on Sunday, April 3rd. Check the "SATELLITES" tab in the UB tournament lobby for the full Mini-UBOC satellite schedule.
