Ubiquity Software Joins Microsoft Connected Services Sandbox

Ubiquity SIP A/S and Developer Tools Brings Access to Real-Time Telephony Services and Capabilities

HONG KONG -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 4, 2006 -- ITU Telecom World 2006 Exhibition -- Ubiquity Software (LSE: UBQ) today announced its participation as a founding partner in the Microsoft Connected Services Sandbox, a new program designed to unite independent software vendors (ISVs), developers, systems integrators (SIs), network equipment providers (NEPs) and telecommunications service providers in developing and testing new compelling communications services, and ultimately, bring these new services to market.

The Connected Services Sandbox is a proof-of-concept and live development environment for developers to create and test applications utilizing Microsoft Connected Services Framework. In the Sandbox, Ubiquity will offer developers access to its award-winning SIP Application Server (SIP A/S), its SIP Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and a suite of developer tools. Telephony services available through the Ubiquity platform include inbound call notification, audio conferencing, audio message playback and third party call control (for example, click-to-dial).

At ITU Telecom World, Ubiquity and Microsoft will highlight the powerful capabilities of the companies' combined platforms in a jointly developed demo application called "I'm Lost." Users can call into the "I'm Lost" service, which then provides directions to a location, such as a meeting or appointment, or ATM machine. The application involves several different platforms including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft MapPoint, the Ubiquity SIP A/S, and a GPS-enabled mobile phone. Microsoft Corp. will be showing the "I'm Lost" demo at ITU Telecom World 2006, in booth #1012, during show hours.

"We are pleased to participate in this initiative with Microsoft as a founding partner of the Sandbox community," said Rob Taylor, Vice President of Business Development at Ubiquity Software. "The Sandbox program will showcase the Microsoft and Ubiquity platforms, which together provide a robust and powerful solution for carriers to deliver compelling new services across fixed and wireless networks. This further expands on our strategy to embrace independent software developers and support service providers that are utilizing Microsoft Connected Services Framework as part of their next-generation service delivery strategy."

"We are excited to expose service providers and the developer community to the Microsoft Connected Services Framework, along with other critical components within the broader ecosystem, such as the Ubiquity SIP Application Server," said Bala Balabaskaran, product architect, Microsoft. "The deployment of SIP A/S for real-time services within the service provider community makes Ubiquity a valuable industry partner in this development environment."
