Ubiquity Software to Power Tello's Unified Communication and Collaboration Platform

Tello Selects Ubiquity's SIP Application Server and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for Development and Deployment of New Platform and Services

BOSTON -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 12, 2006 -- Fall VON -- Ubiquity Software (LSE: UBQ) and Tello today announced that they will join forces to develop and deploy Tello's new unified communication and collaboration platform as well as related on-demand services focused on accelerating and improving business interactions. Tello has selected Ubiquity's SIP Application Server (SIP A/S) and SOA to develop and deliver the richest possible business communication and collaboration experience.

Following extensive competitive evaluations, Tello chose Ubiquity's award-winning SIP Application Server (SIP A/S) based on its superior carrier-grade, high-availability features and unique suitability for collaborative voice, video and data communication applications with real-time performance. By utilizing Appcelerator™ and an extensive line of SOA Service Components from Ubiquity, Tello will streamline application development and management by leveraging pre-validated, re-usable software objects in a structured SOA environment. The combination of Tello and Ubiquity components into a single hosted platform will make the development of new services by Tello partners simpler, faster and less costly.

Tello's hosted platform enables service providers, mobile carriers, PBX manufacturers, software vendors and Internet businesses to provide enhanced communication and collaboration capabilities to their users. Tello is demonstrating the power of its platform by launching its own OnDemand Enhanced Conferencing and Collaboration service which will enable professionals, work groups and corporations to drive business communications to greater heights by harnessing new communications methods and integrating across multiple devices and applications. Tello is also currently supporting its Zero Cost Routing™ service on the same platform.

"Tello is building its new unified communication and collaboration platform with an open orientation to better facilitate integration and partnerships with other innovative players in the space," said Doug Renert, CEO of Tello. "Basing the Tello solution on Ubiquity's SIP Application Server creates a compelling platform for a range of breakthrough services planned by both Tello and its partners in the near future."

"Tello is an innovative company that shares Ubiquity's vision as to how real-time communications and collaboration will become an even more integral part of business processes and lifestyles in the future," said Ian McLaren, president and CEO, Ubiquity Software.
