SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - May 18, 2010) - ubroadcast, inc.(OTCBB: UBCI), a leader in Internet Broadcasting, today announced the following senior management team appointments following the recently announced merger with Santeon, Inc. (

  • Dr. Ash Rofail has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

  • Mr. Douglas Hay has been appointed President and Chief Operations Officer

  • Dr. Ahmed Sidky has been appointed Vice President of Product and Service Delivery

Dr. Ash Rofail has a broad executive background leading technology, strategy and overall management for corporations. He served as Chief Technology Officer for User Technology Associates, a $100M software consultancy with over 1000 employees. He was responsible for setting technology strategy and technical leadership. He has provided strategic technical vision for several successful and innovative products as Chief Architect for Best Software (acquired by Sage), Product Architect for Solomon/Great Plains (acquired by Microsoft), and State of the Art Software (acquired by Sage). He is a thought leader in enterprise software as a member of Microsoft's Visual Basic advisory board since 1997; patent holder for artificial intelligence technology; author of 6 software engineering books on topics such as XML, .NET, COM/DCOM, building n-Tier Applications and Service Oriented Architectures; and Adjunct Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Business. Dr. Rofail holds a PhD Artificial Intelligence and MS Computer Science.

Mr. Douglas Hay has more than 30 years of experience in building brands and guiding established and early phase companies like ubroadcast. Mr. Hay's business career includes the following accomplishments:

  • Co-Founder/COO (acquired by Compaq Computer Corporation in an all cash transaction of $280 million);
  • Lucky Stores/Northern Automotive, Vice President Marketing/Director (a $900 million revenue retail company operating 875 retail stores);
  • Order, Founder/CEO (a privately held, Phoenix, AZ-based computer software/electronic retailing company);
  • NRG Resources Inc, President/COO (a California-based Green/Alternative Energy Company);
  • ABV Group, COO and active Principal (a California-based consortium focused on the acquisition and/or funding, start-up design and operation of over twenty privately and publicly traded retail and manufacturing companies in the U.S. and Canada).

Currently, Mr. Hay provides consulting services for many leading retail and consumer companies in the areas of corporate structure, finance, merchandising, operations and marketing. He is also on the board of directors of Phoenix Technology Centers, Performers Supply Inc. and IDT Media Group.

Along with many years of experience in software development, Dr. Ahmed Sidky has a Ph.D. in value-based process frameworks for effective Agile software (a software development methodology process) development adoption. His work has gained popularity and respect in the Agile software development community as a pragmatic approach for organizations of all sizes attempting to adopt agile. He is frequently referred to as Dr. Agile, on account of developing a free online agile readiness assessment tool named Doctor Agile ( He is also a frequent speaker at numerous national and international agile conferences as well as the co-author of a new book on practical agile adoption titled "Becoming Agile." He enjoys the reaction on people's faces when they learn the values and principles of how to create High-performing, Lean & Agile teams and organizations.
