UC4 Software Signs Global OEM Partnership for SAP® BusinessObjects™ Solutions

UC4 to Integrate and Resell SAP® BusinessObjects™ Business Intelligence Solutions With Its UC4 Workload Automation Suite, Helping Customers to More Easily Report on IT Workload and Increase IT Performance

HANNOVER, GERMANY--(Marketwire - March 3, 2009) - UC4 Software, a leading global provider of workload automation and IT process optimization solutions, today announced that it has signed a global OEM partnership with BusinessObjects Software Limited, Ireland. Under the terms of the agreement, UC4 will offer to its customers worldwide its UC4 Workload Automation Suite integrated with SAP® BusinessObjects™ business intelligence (BI) solutions.

UC4 customers will be able to leverage the SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence® software to generate management reports detailing how IT systems are performing against key performance indicators. Pre-configured templates will help ensure that UC4 Workload Automation Suite users gain immediate access to reports on system activity and throughput, while SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence will enable advanced data mining and analytics processing of IT workload statistics.

"Through this OEM partnership, we will provide joint customers with extra flexibility when accessing, analysing and reporting on the performance of their IT processes," said Wyatt Mullin, vice president, Global ISV Channel, BusinessObjects. "SAP BusinessObjects continuously strives to build strong relationships with industry leaders. We look for OEM partners with proven applications that complement our Business Intelligence portfolio and can be integrated to provide competitive advantage and maximum value to our customers, thus jointly growing our business. Our OEM partnerships deliver solutions that work best for customers' specific business models."

The integrated SAP BusinessObjects functionality extends UC4 Workload Automation Suite, providing organizations with the ability to simplify query building and utilize business terms instead of complex data structures to represent IT activities. Re-usable calculations and report elements including pie charts and graphs will make it easier for senior management to interpret information and make better-informed decisions.

"By delivering SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence directly to UC4 customers, they will benefit from the best-of-breed enterprise scheduling and workload automation technology of the market-leading business intelligence tool to analyze and report on activities," said Timo Klemm, director of Strategic Alliances, UC4 Software. "This integrated solution helps both business and technical users see more clearly how automation of IT workload supports an organization in achieving its key performance goals."
