UCI Division of Continuing Education Appoints Charlotte Slater as Course Quality Manager


IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 3, 2016) - UCI Division of Continuing Education (DCE) has announced the appointment of Charlotte Slater as the Division's course quality manager. In this role, Slater is tasked to provide her expertise in course development and assessment to oversee the Division's overall strategy to develop high quality curriculum.

Having a course quality expert that is well versed in the specific curricular needs of our global student body is critical," said Gary W. Matkin, Ph.D., dean of UCI Division of Continuing Education. "We are confident that Charlotte's extensive experience in online learning, curricular development, instructional design, and student assessment will build upon our existing inventory of courses as well as new curriculum that our Division rapidly develops and delivers."

Slater comes to UCI's DCE with more than 15 years of experience in higher education at Florida International University, Florida Gulf Coast University, the University of North Georgia, and among others. Additionally, Slater served four years as a K-12 instructional technology director at Del Valle Independent School District in Austin, Texas. Slater received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Stanford University and her Master of Arts degree in Education from San Diego State University.
