UEnd: A New Year, a New World- Now That Is a Worthy New Year's Resolution

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 30, 2010) - Jay Baydala, Executive Director of UEnd: Poverty states "people are dying all over the world for the lack of a 10 cent pill." The World Bank has stated that "if we can raise 50 billion over 15 years we could HALVE extreme poverty in the world."

UEnd: Poverty was created because Baydala combined the World Bank statement with the fact that North Americans spend 1 trillion dollars annually (2008 numbers) over the Christmas Season. UEnd did a bit of math. We discovered that 5% of gift spending if gifted differently, would achieve this World Bank goal and so…a solution was born. UEnd would ask people to gift different by giving gifts that end extreme poverty.

Baydala asks as we start our New Year's resolutions, "if you would include one resolution to help change the world. It is simple, no gym memberships required, just gift different at least one time in 2011. It doesn't have to be a big gift, $20.00 is good because lots of small donations has the same impact as one big one."
