UK Giant Unilever Leads HaloSource Financing

BOTHELL, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 14, 2007 -- HaloSource Inc., an antimicrobial technology company focusing on safe water and infection control, has announced that Unilever Technology Ventures, the venture arm of UK consumer goods giant Unilever, has led its latest round of financing. HaloSource will use the $6 million in funding to accelerate its drinking water purification business in the developing world.

"HaloSource is poised to be a significant player in the $18 billion global market for drinking water solutions that is projected to grow to $40 billion by 2011," said James Thompson, HaloSource vice president and chief financial officer. "We're excited about the success of our commercial efforts in India and plan to replicate that model in other developing world markets."
