Ultimate Competitions: Win the Prize of a Lifetime and Help a Charity While You Do It

An online auction site with a difference operated by a UK-based Internet entrepreneur is currently offering life-changing prizes. Michael Howe, CEO of "Ultimate Competitions Ltd," is getting ready to present the lucky winners of his new website's competitions an exclusive "Top Gun" experience in a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet, a lifetime's supply of fragrance and a trial competition giving the chance to win free money.

The star prize on the site is an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Russia including a once-in-a-lifetime aerobatic flight in the legendary MiG-29 fighter jet. But it's not just about the boys and their toys. A prize that may appeal more to the female population is enough fragrance to last a lifetime from a choice of dozens of world-renowned brands such as Chanel, Givenchy and Stella McCartney. And that's not all: the site is also running a free trial competition offering participants a shot at winning Pounds Sterling 500 (GBP).

The Ultimate Competitions website (www.ultimate-competitions.com) is an auction site with a difference: unlike other online auctions where the highest bidder wins, the prizes on the site are won by the lowest unique bid. A bid of a penny for a prize worth several thousand pounds - such as the trip to Russia, worth Pounds Sterling 20,000 (GBP) - would be good enough to win, provided it is the only bid of that amount.

Michael Howe comments, "I guess you'd call my online auction site a reverse-auction. It's not just about bidding more than the next person, you have to use your head more and take a bit of a chance."

The two major prizes on Ultimate-Competitions.com, both worth several thousand pounds, can be won by paying for a bid. Price varies according to each competition, with reductions for multiple bids. The "win Pounds Sterling 500" reverse-auction trial, what's more, is completely free to enter and participants may place up to three bids a day.

In case you were thinking it's all about the prizes, hold it right there: a portion of the proceeds raised in the auctions will be going to two very good charitable causes. 40 pence from every paid bid for the lifetime's supply of fragrance is donated to "Against Breast Cancer" (www.aabc.org.uk), which funds research and works with women who already have breast cancer to find ways to maximise their survival. Additionally, 80 pence from every paid bid for the fighter jet prize go to the "British Forces Foundation" (www.bff.org.uk), a charity supporting the UK's armed forces through entertainment.

"The British Forces Foundation is delighted to partner with Ultimate Competitions Ltd and its fabulous flight in a mig-29 fighter jet over Russia. Money raised from this lowest unique bid auction will help The BFF Charity continue its morale-boosting work for British troops on operations all over the world, bringing the public and their Armed Services closer together." added Mark Cann - British Forces Foundation Director.

The three reverse-auctions are live and running and due to finish soon. See www.ultimate-competitions.com for more information.
