NORTH BRANCH, NJ--(Marketwire - Jan 3, 2013) - Ultimate Training Munitions (UTM)/Phoenix RBT Solutions, providers of a leading non-lethal training system, today announced the appointment of James Battaglini, Major General, United States Marine Corps, retired, to director of military and international sales.

As the director of international and military sales for UTM/Phoenix, Major General Battaglini will be responsible for managing the international sales force, both within the company and with outside sales agents and distributors. He will coordinate all international sales efforts, develop or build upon key relationships with international and military customers, and continue to execute against the company's sales campaign, anticipating new markets and partnership opportunities.
Prior to joining UTM/Phoenix, Major General Battaglini was the executive vice president for Colt Defense LLC, the US firearms manufacturer. In this position he served as the chief operating officer and subsequently was responsible for the company's strategic expansion plan.
In August of 2004, Major General Battaglini retired from the military after 33 years of service. During his career he held various staff and leadership positions as an infantry officer. His command positions in the United States Marine Corps included: Battalion Landing Team 1/8; 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (SOC); Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island; 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade/Deputy CG I Marine Expeditionary Force; and, Third Marine Division. In his last active duty assignment, he served as Director, Expeditionary Warfare Division, Warfighting Requirements and Programs (N7), Navy Staff, Pentagon.
