Ultra Low Headroom Industrial Hoist Lifting Limitations a Concern of Plant Managers in Aging Industrial Plants, WVSN Reports

MANHEIM, PA--(Marketwire - Sep 26, 2011) - Ultra low headroom lifting limitations are among the top concerns of industrial plant managers in aging facilities. WVSN Reports that material movement solutions are drastically needed to eliminate production bottlenecks where there isn't room to work efficiently.

With a tight economy and greater output required, American heavy industrial processing continues to be encumbered by operations that continue in industrial facilities that are well past their prime. Large numbers of power plants, foundries, steel mills and paper mills still occupy facilities that were built before modern material handling efficiencies came into being. It's estimated as many as 30% of such facilities continue to chug along in plants built from 40 to 50 years ago. "These facilities don't have the luxury of newer floor plans for efficient production but they still have to be competitive in their output," said Bret Lussow, Business Development Sales Manager at Harrington Hoists, Inc., in a recent interview on WVSN Reports.

Lifting limitations are a real concern especially in low headroom situations and tight areas. To give you an example, many times old industrial motors, compressors or pumps need to be moved, but the room to work is too limited; so at Harrington we decided that if the plant isn't proper for the lift, we would make the lift proper for the plant! Our solution was the development of the SHB Ultra-Low Headroom Trolley Hoists. This trolley hoist combines our heavy duty, industrial grade CB Hand Chain Hoist with our rugged geared trolley that will travel smoothly on any S or W beam and makes for easy horizontal traversing. This hoist is a must for older facilities that maybe only have a 'cubby hole' to travel through or work in.

The patented SHB Ultra-Low Headroom hoist is designed for maximum hook travel for safe, secure and efficient lifts. Most applications where the SHB are called into service are in very extreme environments and this hoist's all-steel construction provides long life in these rugged atmospheres. Harrington's SHB Ultra-Low Headroom hoists are offered in one- to ten-ton capacities that are on hand at our Corona, California facility and ready for immediate delivery.

Harrington Hoists, Inc. was founded by Edwin Harrington in the late 1800s and holds the title of one of America's oldest manufacturing companies. Harrington Hoists, Inc. has been a market leader for generations and is considered to be the leading innovators of hoist lifting solutions for American industry.
