FORT WORTH, TX--(Marketwire - Sep 26, 2011) - UMED Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: UMED) today announced that it has retained the national public relations firm Martin E. Janis & Company, Inc. to carry out a fully integrated public relations and investor relations program for the company. The 60-year-old firm, with its home office in Chicago, has represented numerous emerging growth companies in a variety of industries, helping these companies tell their stories to appropriate constituencies for optimum results.

"We are extremely excited to be working with the Janis organization," said Kevin Bentley, Chief Executive Officer of UMED Holdings. "Their experience in the oil and gas industry in particular will be of great benefit to UMED Holdings, Inc. as we commence our activities with the planned roll out of The University of Texas at Arlington/1st Resource Group Gas-To-Liquid (GTL) conversion units."

The program is expected to consist of both investor relations activities, including meetings with the financial communities in a number of US markets, as well as public relations activities including media relations.
