UN Secretary-General to visit University of Calgary

CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - August 09, 2016) - The University of Calgary will host United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for a special speaking engagement to coincide with International Youth Day, on Friday, August 12.

His Excellency will present a talk entitled 'A call to youth: the UN in Canada in a changing world'. Following his brief remarks, he will answer questions from students and guests.

Media are invited to attend this special event and film and photograph the proceedings. Please note that his Excellency will NOT be available for interviews prior to or following the presentation. Dru Marshall, Provost and Vice-President (Academic), Stephan Guscott, President, Students' Union, and Sam Hossack, President, Graduate Students' Association will all be on hand for media interviews.
