PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwire - May 4, 2011) - UNEQUAL Technologies, the premier provider of shock-blocking products with a focus on foot care, has shipped their Unequal 'Work insoles with Steel Plates' to the National Guard in Alabama to help the men and women stay safe from foot injuries as they clean up in the aftermath of the tornadoes.
Dr. Jerry Bullock of Birmingham, Alabama contacted Unequal Technologies asking for assistance. Dr. Bullock informed the Company that one-third of the injuries in Alabama are puncture wounds from the National Guard. Police and residents are stepping on nails, glass, metal, sharp objects, and debris that go through boots and shoes to wound and infect the foot. These foot injuries are extremely painful and debilitating, resulting in serious staph infections. "It's like a warzone here and we need your insoles," stated Dr. Bullock.
"We are helping by sending Unequal Work insoles that are puncture-resistant to the Alabama National Guard. This will enable these heroic men and women to help tornado victims without worrying about foot injuries," said Robert Vito, founder and CEO of UNEQUAL Technologies.
Unequal Work Insoles are made with ballistics-grade Kevlar®, and include lightweight flexible steel plates that are designed specifically for hazardous work environments. These rugged Work insoles provide maximum support, comfort and flexibility while the puncture-resistant lightweight flexible steel plates protect feet from nails, glass, debris, and metal. The plates are UL tested up to 330 pounds and exceeds ANSI standards. The Work Insoles fit into any sneaker, shoe or boot.
