UNICEF Canada-Media Advisory: Interview Opportunity With Canadian J8 Delegates Upon Return From Summit

What: Upon their return from the 2007 Junior 8 (J8) Summit, an
international youth conference that paralleled the G8 Summit
in Heiligendamm, Germany, the team representing Canadian
youth is available to share their experiences from this
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

After discussing solutions to pressing global issues with
their peers worldwide, the group can speak to development
in Africa, climate change and HIV/AIDS. They can also speak
about meeting the G8 leaders, Canadian Ambassador to Germany
Paul Dubois, Sir Roger Moore and former child soldier and
best-selling author Ishmael Beah.

Why: This joint initiative by UNICEF and Morgan Stanley
International Foundation aims to strengthen the voice
of children and young people and enhance their ability

children worldwide. The J8 programme seeks also to

enabling young people to convene and discuss key global
issues and advocate for urgent solutions.
