Featuring the latest Intel® Silvermont low power system on chip (SoC) microarchitecture, the S-1200 R4 and S-650 R4 are designed to ensure maximum performance at an attractive cost, enabling UNICOM Engineering customers to target price-sensitive applications more effectively. The UNICOM Engineering S-1200 R4 is a 1U rackmount platform that offers entry level server-class performance in an appliance solution. Applications requiring up to two internal enterprise class SATA drives benefit from the Intel Silvermont low power SoC microarchitecture, and the appliance supports motherboards featuring a single 8-Core Intel C2758 or 2-Core Intel C2358 communications processor with Intel QuickAssist Technology and up to 32GB DDR3 SDRAM, targeting network and communication infrastructure. This combination of affordable performance allows UNICOM Engineering customers to build optimum solutions for price sensitive applications. Moreover, the S-1200 R4's enterprise-class SATA drive support ensures quality and reliability, making the appliance ideally suited for security and network applications.
The new S-650 R4 is a set-top box designed to host and manage branch office and remote applications that require advanced network computing and connectivity in a low-profile, low-cost, purpose-built box. The S-650 R4 solution also features the Intel Silvermont SoC microarchitecture with a single 8-Core Intel C2758 or 2-Core Intel C2358 communications processor with Intel QuickAssist Technology, and houses up to 16 GB of DDR3 SDRAM. For small and medium businesses, branch offices and remote applications, the S-650 R4 provides robust x86 performance at an affordable price. The set-top form factor offers a small office-friendly footprint, with an enterprise-class fixed 2.5 inch SATA drive to ensure data quality and reliability.
