Unidine Acquires FAME Food Management Company to Fuel Growing Demand for Fresh Approach to Dining Services

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - February 05, 2015) - Unidine Corporation®, the fastest growing food and dining management services company in the country, announced today that it has completed the acquisition and integration of Boston-based FAME Food Management, Inc. for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition extends Unidine's services into the government and education sectors, adding to the company's growing foothold in healthcare, senior living and corporate dining.

The addition of FAME, as well as new healthcare clients like Northeast Georgia Health System and Franciscan Hospital for Children, contributed to Unidine's 24 percent growth in 2014, with sales reaching $250 million. As the first food management services company to commit to exclusive use of fresh ingredients and scratch cooking, Unidine is poised to capitalize on growing demand for culinary excellence in the $44.8 billion food service management industry.

FAME's portfolio of clients in Massachusetts, Washington, D.C. and Maryland includes the U.S. Government Publishing Office, Transportation Safety Administration, the John Carroll School, Mass Bay Community College and Bristol Community College.
