Unimax Launches Newest Version of 2nd Nature at CIPTUG

New Version Increases Compatibility With Systems From Avaya, Nortel, Cisco, and Microsoft

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - November 12, 2008) - Unimax Systems Corporation, a leading provider of telecommunications configuration management software and unified voice administration, today pre-announced the release of 2nd Nature 6.7 at the annual Cisco IP Telecommunications Community Users Group (CIPTUG) Conference currently being held in Orlando, FL. The newest version of 2nd Nature enhances support and compatibility with voice systems from Avaya, Cisco, and Nortel. Compatibility with Microsoft Active Directory and other critical business systems has also been enhanced. 2nd Nature 6.7 will be generally available on November 21, 2008.

Continued compatibility with multi-vendor PBX and voice mail system environments

With 2nd Nature 6.7, Unimax enhanced its management capabilities of voice systems from Avaya, Cisco, and Nortel. For example, the new version adds the ability to manage the remote subscriber membership of Avaya's Modular Messaging enhanced lists. It also enables the ability to manage Cisco Unity notification and call handler attributes. In addition, 2nd Nature 6.7 includes the ability for telecommunications administrators to manage more Cisco phone sets and Unified Communication Manager version 6.1.2.

Microsoft Active Directory integration

2nd Nature 6.7 enables telecommunications administrators to directly import new users into their PBX and voice mail systems from Active Directory. This streamlines the provisioning process, eliminates redundant data entry, and reduces errors. Administrators with secure permissions now have the ability to modify Active Directory telephone and extension number fields. This closed-loop administration ensures that the data in a company's PBX, voice mail, and Active Directory system is always consistent and up to date.

"Managing multi-vendor voice systems is extremely expensive," said David Myers, Director of Engineering. "By using a Unified Voice Administration application like 2nd Nature, the cost of enterprise-wide provisioning, reporting, and other functions can be significantly reduced. This kind of cost reduction is critical in today's challenging economic environment. This release strengthens our unique capabilities around Unified Voice Administration. The result is increased cost reduction for our customers."
